Hey, Carl, how are things with you?

I've been gator-deep lately in the lagoon problem here. Pulte has "started" the reconstruction--it's like amateur night! We're tracking it on-line. If you want a good laugh, then see
http://schhphase5lagoons.blogspot.com/ and http://peretired.blogspot.com/2009/05/beating-my-head-against-wall.html

The stucco problem still "smolders". Every once in a while someone will bring it up, and I'll refer them to this topic on your website. Then there's SILENCE. It seems that the prevailing way to deal with a problem is to ignore it. That is, until your house is ruined with mold and it's too late. Oh well, as comedian Ron White says, "You just can't fix stupid!"

Carl, I want to thank you again for your help. This topic really does say it all with respect to the stucco problems here at SCHH, thanks to you.

Keep up the good work, Carl!

Ray

Wow, Ray, sounds like that thermal imaging deal I offered over a year ago would have been timely!

With all due respect, Jay, the problem isn't knowing that the stucco is defective.
The problem is getting Pulte to make it right.
Legal remedy is what's needed, which is hard get with the binding arbitration clause that's in the salses contracts.

"Pulte has been very responsive in getting them fixed," Flaherty said. "My understanding is they're fixing 10 houses a week."

10 per week huh!?!?!?    Are they really fixing them or just slapping a band aid on to get past a warranty clause or statute of limitations?  Criminal in my opinion...  ignorance is not an excuse.

My guess is that Pulte is praying for a Cat 4 or 5 hurricane.
The way that this place is built there will be nothing left after the BIG one blows through.

Ray,

Thanks for the update.

Hope all is well with you and yours in this New Year!

Have you ever considered listing this site or our elite group of inspectors in your blogs for consumers who read to have a resource for reputable inspection service providers in their region?

Many if not all of us also do commercial inspections as well.

your-leaking-house.com is referenced several times on my blog, as is "Mr. BadStucco" himself.
Both have been VERY helpful to me.
