Every time I arrive for a home inspection and see stone veneer, I just know there will be problems. So, here are a few images from yesterday's inspection. Especially enjoy the down spout covering!

And yet again who ever installed the wondows and trim, left off the flashing.


Backer rod and sealant joints with faux stone and stucco with the color mixed in the finish can and will be problem makers not fixers.

i really just can't see ungrouted stone working long term period...just a dumb design imo

The stone continues from the wall framing to the foundation, with no break. Bottom of the stone is below grade, of course no weep screed.
